Job Summary
Responsible for providing primary health care to the students of Texas A&M; University. Other duties as required.
Major/Essential Duties of Job
Provides primary health care to the students of Texas A&M; University; maintains legible medical records that are complete and uniform; participates in AAAHC accreditation activities including Quality Improvement, charting and peer review; develops materials to educate students in the management and prevention of illness/injury; establishes and review qualitative and quantitative performance for members of the clinical staff; assists in determining short and long range goals for Student Health Services; provides input for developing policies and procedures; participates in continuing medical education and in-service activities as appropriate; executes the duties of the Chief of Medical Staff when so requested by the Director; supports the policies and procedures of Student Health Services, the Division of Student Affairs, and Texas A&M; University; follows relevant local, state and federal laws and judicial decisions applicable to the conduct of professional obligations; contributes to an environment of collegiality and cooperative effort (Including any duties which may be designated or requested by the Director.); other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
M.D. or D.O. degree, internship, residency and/or specialty training.
Preferred Education and Experience
Board eligible or board certified in OB/GYN, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Medicine/Pediatrics. Private or group medical practice experience.
Required Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations
Prior to employment start date, must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Texas. Prior to start date, must have unrestricted prescriptive authority in the State of Texas. Both license and prescriptive authority must remain current after employment start date.
