Successful candidates will play an absolute vital role in the care of our patients alongside our faculty veterinarians, residents, interns, and 4th year professional veterinary students.
This position is crucial in helping guide, teach, and mentor veterinarians of our future.
We have opportunities in a variety of specialties including anesthesiology, cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, interventional radiology, neurology, oncology, operating room, ophthalmology, orthopedics, primary care, soft tissue, sports medicine, and rehabilitation.

Shift differential pay is available for eligible shifts.

The Blinn Veterinary Technology Program is housed in the same building as the VMTH.
There are flexible work schedules for evening, overnight and weekend shifts in some service areas of the VMTH.
QualificationsMinimum qualifications for a Veterinary Technician I:
Associate degree in veterinary technology, biomedical science, animal science or a related area, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
No experience required.
Well-qualified candidates would possess the following:
Associate degree in veterinary technology, biomedical science, animal science or a related area, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience; medium to strong technical experience in a veterinary hospital or clinic environment.
Licensed Veterinary Technician in Texas, or ability to obtain.

02Work Schedule:
Candidates must have the ability to work alternative shifts, holidays, weekends, and on-call duty.
Essential Personnel:
This position is considered essential when the University declares an emergency, campus closure, class cancellations, etc.
