What we wantThe Career Center is pleased to announce the opening for a Career Services Coordinator, Business who will be responsible for providing career advising, planning, and programming to undergraduate students in Mays Business School.
Key aspects of the position focus on engaging students in areas of career planning, employer and industry research, job search skills/techniques, developing new and innovative programs, and identifying hands-on experiences and professional development opportunities.
This position will research, create, and execute innovative methods of digitally delivering career services to large student populations to include the design, development of models, and implementation of technologies, including online collaboration, live-streaming, LMS platforms, web-based presentations, and virtual instruction.
The ideal candidate will work well in a fast-paced environment and will be a team player with experience building successful collaborations.

What you need to knowSalary range:
$43,000-45,000/Annual (Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience).

Position Details:
Employees will supervise 1 Student Assistant.
Requires evening and weekend hours.
Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of experience in higher education, industry, or government in a role related to career services or advising, recruiting, training, or professional development.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Excellent customer service and communication skills - interpersonal, written, and presentation.
Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs, and ability to work with and present data.
Proficiency in researching and utilizing online resources.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple, ongoing programs and services.
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree.
Degree(s) in business.
Educational background in student affairs or college student development.
Three or more years of experience in higher education, career services / advising, recruiting, training, or professional development.
Experience in business.
Experience in college student affairs or college student development.
Experience with complex databases and computer software programs.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of Texas A&M Career Center software and operating procedures.
Responsibilities Career Assistance Programs and Services- Advise Mays Business School undergraduate students in areas of career planning and job search skills/techniques such as resume writing, job search strategies, networking, and interviewing.
Create and conduct workshops, class presentations, and events covering career-related subjects.
Create and implement large-scale programs or events that include bringing specific employers to campus, highlighting career options, and /or address specific areas consistently requested by a wide range of students.
Support the Career Center mission by participating in programs and services including drop-in advising, committee work, weekly meetings, and center-wide events and initiatives.
Presentations and Campus Relations- Lead presentations highlighting services and special programs available through this position to constituent groups, including Mays Business School, throughout campus and within the community.
Meet regularly (once each semester or year, to be determined by the coordinator) with advisors and select faculty within the program area.
Meet annually with administration within the college or program area to provide information about services and progress throughout the year.
Create annual report for faculty and administration within program area.
Create and submit special programs to be presented at regional and national conferences.
Employer Development- Maintain and deepen partnerships with employers who seek business students through job development for full-time and experiential education opportunities, the involvement of employers in career events and other career preparation programs for students, the provision of advice and counsel to employers regarding their talent acquisition strategies, and the facilitation of connections with faculty and staff of the College.
Works closely with the Employment Services program of the Career Center to carry out these duties.
Resource Development- Compile resources that provide information regarding career/major options for students within program area.
Develop new resources, hard-copy and electronic, for students within the program area.
Maintain the program area's portion of the website and develop new content annually.
Contribute to social media and web content regularly for the Career Center.
Supervise Student Employees- Train student employees related to the needs of the academic disciplines and/or student population served by Career Coordinator.
Supervise and evaluate the work of student employees, and maintain confidential records and files, as appropriate.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
