Job Title: Maintenance Specialist 1n FLSA Status: Non-Exemptn Department: Fleet Operationsn Reports to: Superintendent, Fleet Operationsn GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:n The Maintenance Specialist 1, Fleet Operations is responsible for repairing and maintaining company railway maintenance equipment.n ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: n Safety Focused nnConsistently follows safe work processes, procedures and rulesnUnderstands on track safety and can explain specifics when askednAble to locate all emergency equipment and demonstrate correct operation to superintendentnn Machine Operations and Technical Knowledge nnOperates Heavy Maintenance forklifts and equipmentnCan explain function of equipment controls and gaugesnUses Concur for expense reportingnUses CLC to arrange lodgingnEnsures return parts have tags correctly completednResponsible for updating training as required using CornerstonenArranges service for and maintains OR trucksnUnderstands and fulfills the requirements of Safety MonitornRecognizes and understands when necessary to update job briefingnIdentifies and explains confined entry-space rules and proceduresnUnderstands and uses Lockout Tagout proceduresnOperates torch safely and can explain all settingsnn BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES: nnSafety AwarenessnLearning on the FlynAction OrientednValues Basedn REQUIRED
Qualifications:n
Experience: 6
months Experience working with Loram equipment or equivalent in a 24/7 environment. 2
years demonstrated technical skills such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and machine operations. 3
years demonstrated ability to work injury and accident free.n Licenses/Certifications: Maintain Railroad Certifications, Loram Operating Rules Certification and All Loram Required E-Learning, On the Job, and 3rd Party Safety Trainingn PREFERRED
